The
SPROM16 programmer software is intended to be used within any DOS
environment. It requires no special drivers or hardware, as the
Serial PROM Programmer connects directly to the existing parallel
port. To use this software, simply copy the SPROM16.exe program
to a drive and execute it. The interface uses a text based screen
and guides the user through the device programming process. Due
to DOS memory limitations, parts larger than 4Mbits will not fit
into memory. The current version does not support the XC17Vxx or
XC17SxxA families. We expect to release a new version in by September.

The
SPROM32 programmer software is intended to be used within Windows
95/98 or Windows NT 4.0 operating system environments. For Windows
95/98, it requires no special drivers or hardware, as the Serial PROM
Programmer connects directly to the existing parallel port. SPROM32
requires no installation program and does not require any special
files in the windows system directory. It may be copied to any system
and run, or it will run directly from a floppy. Under Windows NT 4.0,
a special port device driver must be installed (SPROM-NT) for proper
operation. The simple user interface guides the user through the device
programming process. Version 3.0.0 Beta supports the XC17Vxx and XC17SxxA
families of parts except for the XC17V08 and XC17V16. These will be
released shortly. |
| SPROM-NT_2K_XP.exe |
The
SPROM-NT_2K_XP.exe is a self extracting ZIP file that contains the
'RJSprom' device driver that is required for correct programmer operation
under Windows NT/2K/XP. The provided 'readmeNT2KXP.txt' outlines the
installation procedures for this driver. This driver replaces the
original SPROM-NT.exe NT driver. |
